winterqueenWinterblast will happen even if it rains. Bear with us as we adjust for the weather and bring your rain gear. The parades will go in light rain; heavy rain will postpone to a later time slot or cancel. The art studios and galleries will be open, food, beer & wine available, so c’mon down to the Sofa District Nov 19, 5-9pm. Please support the event by purchasing raffle tickets, eats & drinks, and artistic gifts large or small from our resident artists.

The SOFA Arts District comes alive each November with Winterblast, best known for the electric sofa parade, where participants create whimsically decorated sofas and push them down the street, accompanied by the Hubbub Club marching band, costumed performers, giant puppets and many surprises. Streets will be blocked off for the parade, plus three stages with live music. FREE and family-friendly! Parades run twice, at 6pm and 8pm.

You can be a part of the sofa parade! No entry form or fee required but sofas must have wheels and lights. Bring your creation to the staging area near Atlas Coffee on South A Street no later than 4pm.
