WINTERBLAST: SOFA’S 10th Annual Arts Festival, Parade and Street Fair

SOFA’s largest event of the year. Winterblast is a delightful parade of decorated sofas, artistic bicycles, costumed performers and a marching band. Live music on three stages, plus street performers. Illuminated sculptures, lanterns, and fire dancers. Food, beverages, beer and wine available at locations throughout the festival. Come experience the magic of Winterblast!
LOCATION and PARKING: “SOFA”, the Santa Rosa arts district is at the junction of South A Street and Sebastopol Avenue in Santa Rosa, down the block from Julliard Park.
South A Street and Sebastopol Avenue will be blocked off for the event. Parking available at the corner of Santa Rosa Ave and Sebastopol Ave., and the City Hall parking lot on Sonoma Ave.
FIRST FRIDAY OPEN STUDIOS
DATES/TIME: First Fridays October 3 and November7, 5-8pm.
EVENT DESCRIPTION: Art studios and galleries throughout the SOFA district open their doors to the public. Meet the artists, see art, enjoy refreshments and music. Event takes place every first Friday of the month.

In our modern culture we use the Internet as a mask, to conceal our identity or present an invented persona. Mask-Arrayed will explore the ways artists interpret this ancient and universal human inclination.
Mask-Arrayed presents the works of dozens of local and regional artists. Work by students from several Santa Rosa high school art classes are also represented.
